The Terrorium Shop is tucked away in a little corner of Denver. Filled with verdant plants, responsibly sourced skulls, in house made taxidermy, terrariums and nature inspired local art. This little gem brings a piece of all your favorite mountain range to the city. Other offerings include one of a kind classes in taxidermy preservation, terrarium building, entomology and more. A DIY section for others to assemble their own art is also available in shop.
History
Established in 2017.
The Terrorium Shop began with an odd couple; a taxidermist and gardener. A strange pair, but good things come in unusual packages. The girl had a secret little hobby she nurtured from childhood. She would collect nature's curiosities: fragile tiny bugs, fresh autumn leaves and weathered fragments of earths most magical creatures. As she grew older she began creating scenes with her collection of natural curiosities; eventually moving on to incorporate living plants. The process of life and death; decay and regrowth mesmerized her. A few falls past the girl met her partner, a lover of nature and preservation also. Their first holiday together the girl gifted one of her creations to her new lover. He pushed her to open up and share a part of herself with the world. Together they combined their talents and hit the road in search of all that was forgotten; breathing a new life through adornment in Earth's magnificent creatures.
